At just eight years old, after several months of headaches, sickness, and vision problems, Ben was diagnosed with a high-grade glioma. It was a life-altering moment, but from the very beginning, Ben faced his diagnosis with extraordinary courage.
Our Member of the Month this month is Andrew (Drew) Price.
In September 2023, Drew’s life took an unexpected turn after a fall at school led to a concussion. Initially, it seemed like a standard childhood injury, but his condition quickly worsened, and he was taken to Poole Hospital for further evaluation. A CT scan was performed, and in the early hours of the morning, doctors delivered devastating news to his family — they had found a brain tumour.

In August 2023, life changed in a way no one could have imagined. At just four years old, Abigail began experiencing unexplained headaches and episodes of vomiting. What started as a worrying but seemingly isolated symptom quickly escalated. As her condition worsened, a visit to A&E led to an MRI—and the devastating discovery of a large mass in her brain.
