Our Member of the Month this month is Jack Gyde.

2024 started off as a perfectly normal year for us. Jack was settling into his first year at school and he appeared to be a healthy and happy 5 year old. In the middle of January Jack started to limp and this escalated into intense leg pain. After several trips to the gp and a&e we were sent to Bristol children's hospital. Jack had an abdominal ultrasound which revealed a mass above his right kidney. This sent us on a whirlwind two weeks of tests, scans and biopsy's. In February we were given Jack's diagnosis, stage 4 high risk neuroblastoma. Our hearts were shattered and lives instantly turned upside down...

Our Member of the Month this month is Grace Wilson.

In early July of this year, at just 10 months old, Grace was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. Since then, her treatment journey has been intense and challenging. She has undergone multiple rounds of chemotherapy, bone marrow aspirates, and lumbar punctures, and recently began immunotherapy. Despite the rigorous treatment plan, Grace is responding remarkably well, and her family is incredibly proud of her strength and resilience...

Our Member of the Month this month is Sophia Osborne.

Sophia arrived 15 weeks earlier than expected because of a severe case of pre-eclampsia. At just six weeks old, she faced a life-threatening infection called Necrotizing Enterocolitis (NEC). As a result of this infection, Sophia had to undergo surgery to remove 75% of her lower intestine and now relies on a pump for her nutrition...

Daisy, a typical teenager with a sassy, fiery, and spirited personality, faced an unexpected and daunting challenge in October 2023. Initially experiencing severe headaches and vomiting, it quickly became evident that something was seriously wrong. The subsequent medical tests revealed the scary news: Daisy had a brain tumour. Despite the overwhelming diagnosis, she approached the situation with remarkable bravery and resilience. She underwent brain surgery, and her amazing recovery showcased her fighting spirit. However, her journey took another devastating turn when she learned that the tumour was cancerous.
