On February 19th, 2019, Lincoln received a diagnosis of stage 4 MYCN neuroblastoma, an uncommon and highly aggressive childhood cancer. Beyond the tumour, the cancer had also metastasised to his bone marrow, with notable hot spots detected on his femur, pelvis, and skull vault. At the tender age of 5, Lincoln faced this daunting challenge, with a 3-year-old sister by his side.

Oliver came into the world in September 2019. However, by May 2020, a small scab had begun to manifest on his scalp. This development prompted numerous visits and phone consultations with medical professionals. Unfortunately, the progression of addressing his condition faced obstacles due to the widespread impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Bethany had a hickman line inserted on the 15th of August, and she was started on an all-rounder chemotherapy, as a CT scan had shown that 2 mushy bits that were left behind from surgery had grown....

Our Member of the Month this month is Elsie Mangham. In July 2022, Elsie was diagnosed with a brain tumour. The tumour has unfortunately caused Elsie to lose all of her sight in both eyes, and although she is now registered blind, she has not let this stop her one bit. ‘She has taken everything in her stride and been an absolute superstar!’
