September Superstars No.2 2026
Our second September Superstar is Vinnie Kent.
On 27th November 2023, at just four years old, Vinnie was diagnosed with pre-B Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. In that moment, his world, and the world of his family, changed forever.
Since his diagnosis, Vinnie has faced more than any child should ever have to. Chemotherapy, immunotherapy, countless hospital admissions, infections, procedures and long periods away from home have all become part of his life.
His treatment has been complex, and there have been times when his family didn't know what the future would hold. Through it all, however, Vinnie has continued to show incredible strength and determination.

Throughout his journey, Vinnie has collected his Beads of Courage. To someone looking from the outside, they may simply appear to be colourful little beads, but to Vinnie, each one carries a much deeper meaning.
"Every single bead tells a story."
Each bead represents something Vinnie has faced; a treatment he has endured, a hospital admission he has overcome, a procedure he has bravely faced, an infection he has battled, or simply another difficult day that he managed to get through.
"Vinnie absolutely loves his beads. There have been many times when those beads have given him something to focus on and something to look forward to during the hardest parts of his treatment. They have become a physical reminder of just how brave he has been."
His collection tells the story of his cancer journey, but more importantly, it tells the story of Vinnie...a little boy who has faced an unimaginable amount and continues to show strength, courage and resilience every single day.
Each bead represents a battle he has faced and overcome.
Together, his beads are a powerful reminder of just how far this brave little boy has come.
